Train 327a works the yard shortly after sunrise. It's comforting to know that since this photo was taken, the Lake State has been busy repairing it's track.

LSRC 281 pulls out from behind the aging sign shop on a beautiful August evening.

A classy Alco leads train 326 through downtown Alpena. If you look to the right of the crossbuck you can see my secondary camera set up for taking video.

LSRC C425M 281 leads train 326 into the "cheater's street running" section of 10th ave. A model of the 281 in D&M decals was released by Atlas Model Railroading in HO scale.
